
A new month, time for a new mindset?
I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “If you keep doing the same thing, you”ll keep getting the same results.”
Well, I’m hear to give you a little tough love today – it’s true! If you want your life to change (and that could be anything from losing to a few pounds to writing your novel or landing that dream job) you are going to have to step out of your comfort zone and try something new.
*GASP*
I know. You’re saying “Debora, say it isn’t so! I’m happy in my routines and my ruts.” Are you really? Stop telling yourself half truths, stop telling yourself you can’t change. You can.
And let me tell you how to start.
It’s called ATTITUDE. You can call it mindset, you can call it anything you want – but the more positive your attitude is, the more you believe in yourself and where you’re going, the more likely you are to get there.
Here’s your homework for this week (Yea, I’m going to make you work…on you!) Take a few minutes to sit down and decide where you want to be – next month or next year. Pick THREE things you can do this week that will be positive steps toward that goal. No matter how small, every small change will have ripple effects.
Can you cut one thing from your diet? Can you write one page a day (btw, that would equal 365 pages in a year, wow!) Can you take on one small additional job at work to get you the experience and notice to add to that resume? Can you praise your significant other instead of focusing on something they didn’t do?
Look around and find a few ways to make your attitude bloom – because attitude is everything.
